The software used by current POS terminals are typically Windows programs that have been adapted from old DOS systems or have poorly designed interfaces created by programmers rather than interface designers.
The back office system that businesses require is not included in the terminals and must be set up separately and at more cost.
Simple tasks in existing systems can be very difficult and technical to follow. Simply adding a product to a system can take 5 - 15 minutes and that’s if you know what you are doing.
